Hello, faithful readers!
I have been quite busy with events and working on several new projects. As you may know, Albert the Donkey Solves a Mystery has finally been released! I am SO excited to share this wonderful new Albert adventure with you! I truly feel that this is the best story yet, and I hope you feel the same. It’s not available on Amazon and it’s coming soon to the local bookstores. In celebration of this new release, I am offering a wonderful discount exclusively available through IngramSpark.
Don’t forget that 10% of all Albert the Donkey book sales go toward helping support FOCUS Rescue & Rehabilitation and their wonderful work with equines and other animals! What a wonderful cause and organization! I am so please and blessed to be able to help support such a wonderful group!
I have several new projects that I am working on that I am so excited to talk about. The first, is that my young Albert readers have spoken and I have listened–I am working on a new series about Hank the Hamster! I am so excited to be working on a new project that I know my young readers will look forward to and enjoy! Why Hank the Hamster? Several fans have approached me at events and asked if I had a hamster at home and after disappointing them with the fact that I do not own a hamster, it occurred to me that the youngsters are looking for stories about things they are familiar with, like their pet hamsters at home. So Hank the Hamster began to form in my mind and I have really enjoyed trying to visualize a furry little guy inadvertently experiencing the great big world outside his cage, whether he is prepared or not. I plan on illustrating this story as well but it will be a longer series of stories than the Albert books and potentially for an older demographic.
HELP ME WRITE ABOUT HANK THE HAMSTER!
I am still working on the details and the rough draft for Hank’s adventure(s), but I would welcome any suggestions from you, faithful readers, on what kinds of mischief Hank could possible get into! Send your ideas to me at [email protected] and maybe your idea will end up in the final version!
I am also working on the last book in the cozy series Whiskers & Tails Mysteries featuring Oliva Swann. I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve provided any updates on the last book in the series and I apologize for not keeping my fans informed on the progress. The cozy needs work, editing and proofreading, and then a cover designed. But I am hoping for a tentative release date of Spring 2025. This book has a twist in that it’s Tom Barnaby who becomes involved in a mystery and with the help of Olivia and the animals, he must discover the truth in a mystery where nothing is as it seems.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE…
I am also working on the start of a new cozy mystery that could turn into a new series. I am super excited about this book and the potential for it. I have to thank my mom for planting the premise in my head and encouraging me to pursue the idea. I can’t wait to share more details as they become available and hope that you enjoy this new direction in my writing as much as I’m enjoying working and plotting it! So stay tuned for more on that project in the future!
Today was a busy day as I participated in the Canal Town Book Festival in Dover, OH. I had so much fun and learned so much. I am so glad that I was able to attend. I love seeing all the readers and kids looking for new reads. I met some great people and had some great conversations! I have a lot of notes to review from the panels I attended and am excited to get to work on putting the tips to work! My next event is next weekend at the Navarre Civic Center in Navarre, OH from 11am-2pm. I would love to see you there and sign your Albert books for your friends and family!
As always, thank you for following me along this crazy journey and for your support of my dream of being an author!
Best wishes,
