And in with the new website! Things are moving right along with the updates to the website. And I am so excited for all of the changes. Please bear with me as the site undergoes major transformation. I am hoping to make the site more user friendly and accessible via mobile phones so all of my wonderful readers can stay up-to-date even out and about! A newsletter sign up form will be added soon so if you haven’t done already, you can sign up for my newsletter. (Wonderful news, facts, tidbits, and giveaways in the newsletter so be sure to check back for that form and sign up!) I also wanted to have a space for my new venture the Albert the Donkey kids book series. What a great little character I’ve created, and I am SO excited to share it with all of you soon! I am also working on some author events next year to meet all of you in person and offer my books to you in person. How exciting! I can’t wait to see all of you! I will be posting more about those events when details have been finalized.
Book three is slowly coming along in the Whiskers & Tails Mystery series. I am almost done plotting and working on the rough draft. I really got into the details on this one so I hope it reads as well as I think it does while I’ve been hard at work writing it. Over the holidays and Spring I hope to really crank out some good pages so I’m hoping for a Summer 2024 release date. But, as always, be sure to follow me on social media, this blog, and the newsletter for more details on that writing.
I recently started a new full-time day job which has been a great experience so far. It has been quite the adjustment for me but I’ve been enjoying every minute of it so far! I am hoping once I’ve settled into my new role that it will help me carve out more time for writing. I have been busy in many different writing directions here lately, and I know it’s time to buckle down and focus on one project at a time. But I’m the type of person who gets excited over an idea and can’t focus on what I had been doing because I want to start the new. So, here’s hoping that the next few months allow me to really focus and concentrate and organize my writing so I can accomplish what I need to accomplish by my self-imposed deadline I’ve set for myself. I guess that is one of the benefits of being a self-published writer–I don’t have any one else but myself (and you, wonderful reader), to answer to about deadlines and goals. But that does tend to lead to massive procrastination and laziness. So, for the next few months it’s time to work and work hard!
Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I would like to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for supporting me and believing in me and my characters. Your support and encouragement has brought me through some hard times and words cannot express how grateful I am for you. A recent community tragedy has really made me grateful for the friends, family, and readers that have supported my dream of writing and made me realize how truly blessed I am in life. Thank you for being with me on this journey and I hope I continue to write characters and stories that you enjoy.
All the best,
