Hello, friends and loyal readers! If you follow me on Facebook than you know that Albert the Donkey is now available at several retailers. I received my hard copy version and it looks amazing, if I can be so biased. I have had a lot of engagement on social media with people who are interested in the book. I’m afraid that unless it was ordered this week from Amazon copies won’t arrive in time for Christmas. However, I think it would make an excellent gift for Easter! Just suggesting ;).
I can’t even put into words how excited I am for Albert to come to life finally. And while I am still excited bout my cozy mystery series, The Whiskers & Tails Mysteries, there is truly something special about a children’s book that has me feeling good. I’ve received feedback from parents who have read it to their children and so far the feedback has been excellent. I am beyond thrilled with the reception thus far and am so proud of my accomplishment. I never dreamed of writing a children’s book. Now that it’s live and complete I cannot be more happy! I simply cannot wait to bring Albert the Donkey back for new adventures with Eddie soon. Book two is being illustrated now and in a few months it should be ready. I am hoping the process isn’t too long for illustrations and book two can be available perhaps for Easter as well.
It has been suggested that a plush version of Albert be nice and I love that idea! I am currently researching costs and availability for a stuffed version and perhaps creating a boxed set for Albert as well with the plushie and the book. Stay tuned for more details on that in the future!
I have an event coming up on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Stark County Library in Canton, OH so mark your calendars! Albert the Donkey Meets a New Friend will be available for purchase in person with mini donkeys available for purchase and packs of crayons to go with the coloring page in the back of the book while supplies last. Limited quantities of my cozy mysteries will also be on hand to purchase. I really hope to see you there! As more event details come together I’ll be posting updates so be sure to check back!
