Hello, faithful readers and friends! It has been a couple months since I last posted so let’s jump right into all my exciting updates!

I have written the first draft of a new cozy series with a working title of “When a Cozy Mystery Comes Calling.”  That is a working title and I keep going back and forth on what to call this new mystery but it will be some version of that. This book features Penelope Paxton, a cozy mystery addict, who uses the skills she’s developed from reading to solve a mystery close to her and her best friend. It’s currently in editing and I hope for a tentative Summer 2025 release, but we’ll see how the process goes with the holidays and how soon editing can be completed.

I have completed the first rough draft of the much anticipated final Olivia Swann novel, but it needs a lot of editing and work. While I am satisfied with the overall concept and plot I know it needs a lot of work to make it really good and tie up the story. I am also hoping for a Summer 2025 release so check back on that.

If you’ve been following my social media, you know I am working on a new kid’s book not related to Albert. Hank the Hamster is coming along in illustration now. Thank you to all of you who submitted ideas for adventures for Hank to go on! Maybe one of your ideas made it into the final version! I’m so excited to share Hank with you all and hope you love him as much as you love Albert the Donkey! I haven’t decided yet if this will be a series or not. It all depends on the reception and how kids like it.

My First event of 2025 will be the 4th Annual Guernsey County Family Reading Festival, taking place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge, OH.

2024 was an amazing year.  I have loved getting to meet all of the fans of Albert the Donkey and reading to all of the children. I have received amazing feedback and support from readers. Seeing the kids enjoy Albert’s adventures has been wonderful. I am truly blessed to be able to share Albert and my stories with the world. Having the first book win an award in a national contest was truly the highlight and really solidified that Albert is a wonderful character and that I really am a writer now. I appreciate everyone who has been with me on this journey and encouraged me. This process is hard and sometimes I get down and have doubts about my skill. But thanks to all you wonderful readers and fans, I will keep my head up and forge ahead.

Thank you and bless you.
